Property Staging - How To Stage A Home For Sale

Amy Howard from Neilson’s Solicitors & Estate Agents and Zoë Berry from LIFE/EDIT talk us through the best ways to stage your home for sale.

Why should you stage your property for selling?

What is home staging?

Home staging involves styling your home to attract a larger number of potential buyers. This process includes removing personal touches to allow buyers to envision themselves living in the space. A staged home generally appeals to a broader audience compared to one reflecting your individual taste and should highlight the potential use and styling options for each room.

It’s well established that the holy trinity of preparing a property for sale is to declutter, depersonalise and deep clean. But with home staging, you are taking the process a stage further to maximise interest in your property and ultimately, a high selling price.

What are the benefits of staging your home?

Along with attracting more potential buyers, according to BuzzBuzzHome, a staged property can fetch around 10% more on average than a non-staged property. Staging your property could be a very astute aspect of your selling journey, considering it could add a few thousand pounds to the end sale price of your property.
